the torso is barbie but i built the tail up over some wire

it's actually pretty flexible. while i was making the tail i had forgotten to turn the ringer off on the phone. someone called and i kind of jerked my arm and ended up with my hand in front of the propane torch. BAAAD burns on my right hand from the torch itself and then the tail melted down and landed all over the fingers on my left hand. good thing i always keep aloe and medical tape nearby! my left pinky and right index finger were the worst, but it was all bad enough that i couldn't work again (on my dolls) for a week.

figure out what the tail is made of yet? hot glue! covered with liquid electrical tape, which is a kind of paintable vinyl. excellent stuff
